Rural America has a vulnerability. This weakness can be easily exploited by bad people.

Iraq has been using coordinated fire as a weapon to kill rebels in the extensive reed swamps south of Basrah. They are getting increasingly good at this. They also watch CNN and see our underbelly each fire season.

Small bands of enemy agents can easily lay out an aerial delivery of 500,000 to a million ignition starts every quarter mile, perpendicular to strong regional winds. Using small planes, covering pre-arranged routes, at night, they would safely vanish before anyone realized what had been orchestrated against us. There would be no return address, as with expensive missiles. The resulting firestorms, hundreds of miles in length, would produce much more damage than any other weapon of mass destruction . . . period.

We've got the Second Amendment and concealed carry laws for the Urban Terrorists who will exploit our masses at sporting events and shopping malls with automatic weapons.

However, for rural America, we need a strategic land management concept to fully mitigate and erase the potential for death and destruction that the use of wildfire as a weapon of mass destruction would bring to us.

We need to fire adapt in order to safely live with natural wildfire events anyway. With the open opportunity for wildfire to be used by a resourceful enemy . . . IT ONLY MAKES SENSE TO BE ALWAYS READY AND ABLE TO PARRY KILLER WILDFIRES AT EACH AND EVERY CRITICAL SITE SET IN WILDLAND FUELS!

SUN TZU, a Chinese general, warned us over 2,000 years ago in his work, "THE ART OF WAR," Chapter XII . . . ATTACK BY FIRE: KNOWING HOW TO ATTACK BY FIRE IS IMPORTANT, BUT IT IS IMPERATIVE TO BE READY AGAINST A FIRE ATTACK FROM OTHERS.!!

THE FIRST AND MOST BASIC MISSION OF AN ARMY IS TO PROTECT THE CITIZENS AND THE STATE FROM AN ENEMY ATTACK. FOREIGN ADVENTURES FOR SECURITY OF STATE MAY PROVE VITAL, BUT DEFENSE OF THE HOME GROUND MUST BE PROVIDED ABOVE ALL OTHER MATTERS!!

This is a training aid that represents a couple of homes set in natural, congested fuels.

This shows a land management treatment that prepares the ground tactically to be used to parry strong wildfires. Our training encompasses actually giving the interface dweller hands on, simple-but-thorough, experience with a drip torch in hand. They become qualified and entirely competent to systematically burn out all light fuels inside prepared cauldrons.

Note the small plastic " remember guide tools" at the foot of the large training aids. These are stored with drip torches on site to always show home owners where to lay the fire to convert the prepared site into a "SAFETY HARBOR AREA" with a precisely executed "ESCAPE FIRES."
